Limestone Hammer Crusher Design

Limestone hammer crusher is the perfect solution for crushing applications in the cement industry. Typical tasks are wet limestone, wet marl, clay, chalk, limestone and similar raw materials. Limestone hammer crusher design allows to crush run of mine material in one step down to the required product size either for vertical roller mills as for ball mills.

Limestone hammer crusher is known for proved reliability and advanced heavy duty design, ensuring a long service life. The feed material is continuously fed to the crusher by an apron feeder. Large material boulders are precrushed by the hammers between the rotors. Subsequent reduction takes place on the anvil before the finished product is calibrated on the discharge grate.

Method of operation

The feed material is processed in three stages:

  • The first stage is effected by percussion and impact as the material is gravity-fed into the tip circle of the hammers;
  • The material then passes onto the anvil located centrally between the rotors, where it is crushed further by percussion and
    shear force;
  • The material flow is spread over the following discharge grates, where the product granulometry is separated and discharged through the grates. Any remaining material continues to be processed until it, too, can pass through the grate gap. The grate bar gap spacing determines the end product size.
