Phosphate Rock Grinding Plant

Phosphate Rock Grinding Plant

Material grinding is quite often an integral part of an industrial process, whether carried out on a large or small scale and in some cases the grinding mill may be the single most costly item for the production operation. A wide range of mills has been developed for particular applications. Some types of mills can be used to grind a large variety of materials whereas others are used for certain specific grinding requirements.

Nowadays, various types of grinding mills have been developed for certain applications. ZENITH machinery is a global phosphate rock grinding plant supplier, with long experience and high advance, we ensure all of our grinding equipment has high performance and create wealth for you in the production process. Phosphate Processing Equipment

Phosphate rock from the mines is first sent to beneficiation units to separate sand and clay and to remove impurities. Steps used in beneficiation depend on the type of rock. A typical beneficiation unit for separating phosphate rock mined in Florida begins with wet screening to separate pebble rock that is larger than 1.43mm or 14 mesh, and smaller than 6.35 mm from the balance of the rock. The pebble rock is shipped as pebble product.

The material that is larger than 0.85 mm, or 20 mesh, and smaller than 14 mesh is separated using hydrocyclones and finer mesh screens and is added to the pebble product. The fraction smaller than 20 mesh is treated by 2-stage flotation. The flotation process uses hydrophilic or hydrophobic chemical reagents with aeration to separate suspended particles.
